You Come Alive

When you are doing what you love, you come alive. When you love what you do, you come alive. There is something almost magical about watching someone do what they love. You can practically see the spark in there heart grow into a blazing wild fire that can not be contained or stoped. When you find something that, no matter how small it is, you are always look forward to doing you always look for opportunity to do that thing. It doesn't matter who is around you or where you are you just want to do that one thing that you love doing. That thing, makes you come more alive than 1,000 cups of coffee can.
When that spark turns into a fire that thing or activity that you are doing begins to grow. I find it fascinating to watch someones passion grow. That might sound a little odd. But it is like watching a baby try to learn how to walk. No matter how many times they might fall down they still get back up and continue to get better and better, until eventually they can walk and then run and then sprint. When you first start something new, you are just learning how to walk. But the more you work at it and the more time you put into trying to get better the faster you will be able to sprint. Once you start sprinting you then start making the form of your sprint better. You start to refine the minor motor skills. As you grow and become better the fire that is inside your heart continues to grow bigger and stronger and brighter.
When you aren't doing what you love and what your heart desires you don't put as much effort into what it is your doing. But when you are doing what you love you want to make sure that you are producing the best work that you can. You are putting more effort towards what it is that you love because you care about what the end result is and you want to be proud of what you have made or done when you have completed it.
The things we are passionate about are there for a reason. When we do these things we are happy but God is also happy with us because He has implanted this passion within us. Proverbs 16:26 says "Life motivation comes from the deep longings of the heart, and the passion to see them fulfilled urges you onward." When I first read this I read it as, when you don't think you can continue on towards your dreams the passion you have for them pushes you to keep going. Very rarely is it an easy decision to walk away from something you love. Usually there is a tug in your heart that pulls you back in. If there isn't something that pulls you back or make you want to go back then you weren't suppose to continue down that path because there is something better out there for you that has already been planned out. That doesn't mean that that time has been waisted by any means. If anything it has taught you something that you need to know moving forward in the future, or maybe it equip you with a skill that is going to be needed, or maybe better yet it is propelling you towards something that is far grater than you could even imagine.
Challenge: If there is something you are debating giving up on or walking away from think long and hard on if there is something that is going to call you back once you have left. If there is nothing that you enjoy or are passionate about anymore maybe it is time to move on and find a new spark to work on developing. There are endless opportunities out there, you just have to want to put in the effort to seek them out and pursue them.
Prayer:
God I pray that you start a fire in each persons heart tonight. I pray that you guide them towards what they are meant to be doing or where they are suppose to go or be. Only you know what truly sets our hearts on fire so I ask you today to show each of us what our thing is and help us develop the skills and passion we need to truly come alive. We love you and thank you for everything you have done and everything you will do. Amen
