New Life

When we said yes to allowing God to come into our lives we crossed the start line to a new life lead by Him. From then on we chose to leave the world behind one day and go back home to our Heavenly Father. Until that day comes we have the incredible ability to be in His presence without physically being with Him.

When we hold things back and in, they are kept in the dark. But when we are down on our knees with our hands lifted high to show that we surrender all of our being to Him and only Him, He shines a light on everything we have been trying to hide for so long. I think that this would be a bigger deal if He didn't already know everything about you better than you even know yourself.

After we surrender everything to Him it is like breathing fresh air. We no longer have to worry about anything because He has it all and is going to use everything we handed to Him for the good and the glory of Him. We no longer have to walk around with shame around our necks because He has taken it all from us. Our past no longer can hold us back from reaching our full potential in the future. The air we breath comes in and out of our lungs easier and more freely than ever before. It is easier to breathe because there is no longer unnecessary weight on our hearts.

If you wake up early and watch the sunrise every day for a week, it always has a new look. Nothing is ever the exact same even two days in a row. Each sunrise and sunset is its own creation. JUST LIKE YOU! No two people on this earth are the same. Even identical twins have things that are different about them! If they didn't you couldn't tell the difference between them. But every set of twins, at least all the ones that I know, have something subtle that is different. If we were to live like the sunrise and wake up different and changed every morning wouldn't that be cool? Even if we were to allow God to change the slightest thing about us every day we would be able to wake up knowing that we are one step closer to becoming the person that He is calling us to be.

Challenge:

Every day is a fresh start, a new adventure, another opportunity. Don't let a single day go by where you don't hand something over to God and make the load that you are carrying, but not supposed to be, a little lighter. Make a point to wake up with a different mindset or goal each morning.

Prayer:

Jesus, I thank you today for taking everything to the cross and deleting it once and for all. For all our days we will praise you and trust in you. You are the only one that knows what is in store for us in the future. Every time we step into your presence we know that we are never going to walk out the same as we walked in. I thank you that you never leave us where we are. Thank you for all that you have ever done and all that you will do. We love you. Amen
